What We Work On

Each class combines exercises that support the things we need to keep doing well as we age:
• Strength and muscle
• Balance and stability
• Core strength
• Mobility and healthy movement
• Coordination
• Cardiovascular fitness
• Confidence getting up, down, carrying, lifting and moving through everyday life
This isn’t about keeping up with anyone else. Exercises can be modified for different abilities, and our coaches will help you find the version that works for you while still giving you an effective workout.

What If I Haven't Exercised in a Long Time?

That's okay. You don't need to know how to use gym equipment, and you don't need to get in shape before you come. We'll teach you. The goal is to begin at an appropriate level and gradually build strength, skill and confidence. If an exercise isn't right for you, we'll help you modify it. Experienced exercisers are welcome too — the same movements can often be progressed to provide an appropriate challenge.

Why Strength Training Matters as We Age

Getting older doesn't mean giving up strength. Maintaining muscle and strength helps us continue doing the things we value — getting up from the floor, carrying groceries, climbing stairs, enjoying outdoor activities and remaining independent. Warrior Strong for Life combines strength with balance, mobility and overall fitness so you're training for life outside the gym, not simply exercising for an hour.
